About us
Azadeh is the Director of Blueberry Playsongs and an award winning musician. She has been working for Blueberry Playsongs for over a decade. Having always been passionate about music, Azadeh has experienced first-hand the benefits of music. Azadeh has toured with Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Grammy award winning Robert Cray, Deacon Blue, UB40, Faithless and Maxi Jazz. She has also written for other artists and recorded her own highly acclaimed solo album.
Azadeh believes children should have the best possible start in their Early Years and a large portion of that comes from learning through live music. Experiencing and taking part in children's music lessons or our children's parties from infancy has been proven to have a lasting impact on all areas of a child’s development including - confidence, emotional development, coordination, memory, imagination, sense of fun, creativity, the way children understand the world, their social skills, language and so much more.
Azadeh and the Blueberry Playsongs Team can’t wait to hear about how much our nursery school lessons, children's music lessons and children's parties mean to your child!
The Blueberry Method
In Blueberry Music sessions we use real instruments, sustainable materials and our voices rather than listening to backing tracks. An acoustic guitar is the primary accompaniment to the class which enables our teachers to react to the children, create a dynamic in volume and tempo and allows them to lead the class in an interactive, accessible way.
With a combination of Kodaly, Montessori and our own Blueberry Playsongs values, all our teachers are highly experienced professional musicians who are ready to engage and get the best out of children in their sessions, so they leave the nursery school lessons, children's music parties or private music lessons feeling, energised, confident, connected with their peers and, most importantly, happy!
